Carmen Lozada

At a young age, Carmen enjoyed most of her summers visiting her grandmother in Manhattan, NY. During a family picnic, she amazed everyone by revealing her yearning to travel the world. A time of reflection and internal discussion during a European bus tour, she understood celebrating her passion for novelty in cultural experiences which was the pivotal period in her life. The aromas of cuisine and plethora of vibrant ambiances, she embraced it all.

Carmen gained a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management at the University of Puerto Rico. She showed up in a suit, high heels, and a briefcase on her first day of internship–they knew she meant business and was hired part time. Through the years she represented resort brands such as Wyndham, Marriott, Melia and Barcelo Hotel. Her extensive experience in contracting large groups, maintaining a positive attitude, effective communication, networking, perseverance and taking the time to “do it right” from the start, has led her overall career success.

“I welcome the life lessons traveling has given me. The most valuable lesson was learning to listen, to hear, to understand, to experience everything each destination has to offer. Listening to different people’s views has broadened my own.”

She enjoys the beach, water sports, dancing salsa music, and spending time with family and friends. Going to the gym, doing Pilates and meditating are part of her overall healthy lifestyle.
