Michel Couturier

As an expert in marketing global destinations to the North American meeting, convention, and incentive markets , Founder and Managing Partner of MarketID (formerly known as Marketing Challenges Intl. Inc.), Michel is proud to lead the  Team with Jacqueline Hewitt, co-owner.

He is an active member of ASAE, ICCA, MPI, PCMA, and SITE. Michel sits on the Global Advisory Group of PCMA.

Passionate about sharing his knowledge on the industry, Michel keeps a busy speaking engagement schedule. He regularly takes part in the Young Professionals Forum held during EIBTM in Barcelona. Over the past few years, Michel has been moderating the acclaimed session on “New Models of Cooperation” at the annual ICCA Congress. During his career, Michel has conducted seminars in Barcelona, Berlin, Copenhagen, Geneva, London, Paris, Johannesburg, Shanghai, Sydney to name a few, and, of course, New York on the North America business event market.

Michel holds a M.B.A. in International Business and a B.S. in Business from New York University. In 2009, he achieved a professional accreditation from DMAI as a Certified Destination Management Executive (CDME). The CDME program is recognized by the destination marketing industry as its highest educational achievement.

Michel lectures regularly on international consulting at New York University.

Passionate about international affairs and political science, Michel spends his spare time traveling and reading, propelling an ongoing pursuit of critically examining how current events shape the travel industry.

He is also working on a personal photography project in an effort to capture and document the intricacies of NYC.
