Dubai World Trade Centre’s 50th Anniversary & Dubai Exhibition Centre at World Expo 2020

UAE became the first country to reduce travel restrictions in August 2020 (source: CNN), leading the rest of the world in vaccinations and instituting safety measures as it prepares for the World Expo 2020.

Leading the way for the exponential growth of Dubai is the Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC) established in 1979, introducing the region to international exhibitions and conferences industry. As the centre prepares to celebrate UAE’s 50th anniversary and the Expo 2020 this October, the new Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC) is ready to welcome visitors from around the world. The increases the Emirate’s indoor exhibition by 45%, making it one of the largest venue in the region.

Staying true to its commitment to sustainability, post Expo 2020, DEC will transform into the landmark structure for District 2020, “ planned mixed-use urban development that aims to repurpose 80% of the Expo’s built environment – a project which will deliver sustained economic value to Dubai.”

With so much to look forward to, Dubai continues to lead the way in innovation and providing opportunities for global collaboration.
